How to reach the city from the airport
  • About the airport

  • Bus to City
    A fast way to get to the city is the use of the bus. Most convenient is, if you take the bus that takes you to "Vienna City Air Terminal, Hotel Hilton". From there use the underground line "U4" to "Karlsplatz". The bus costs 5,80 € (one way) + ticket for public transport(1,50 €); it takes about 30 minutes for the bus + 15 minutes for the public transport and walking.   • Train (Schnellbahn)
    Cheapest way (3,-- € get ticket prior to departure at ticket machine, 2 zones = 2 tickets for 1 zone for 1,50 €). Get off at "Wien Mitte". From there use the underground line "U4" to "Karlsplatz". http://english.viennaairport.com/bahn.html
    Time: about 1 hour

  • Limousine with driver
    A limousine with driver is cheaper than a Taxi at a fixed rate of 22 € to any place in the city. It has to be ordered at least on day before the arrival at http://www.ck-airportservice.at/ or by phone using (++43 1) 44444. The driver awaits you directly after custom control. Time: 35 to 40 minutes.

  • Taxi
    Taxi stand is north of the arrival hall and costs around 30 € (depending on traffic) to the city http://english.viennaairport.com/taxis.cfm
    Time: 35 to 40 minutes.

The workshop takes place at Prechtlsaal, Karlsplatz 13, ground floor (pdf). The room is equipped with a video beamer, overhead slide projector, and a flip chart.
