Design and implementation of a distributed game for the Internet. The implementation shall be done with XVSM, an extensible virtual shared memory layer. Care shall be taken that the players have to communicate with each other continuously (cooperation and/or fight for shared resources) and that the scale-up shall be arbitrary, i.e., it shall be possible to add and remove players dynamically and autonomously. Neither network nor system failures shall compromise the game. The rules and the layout of the game are to be invented. A simple, graphical interface shall be implemented, preferably with Java or .NET. Remark: it is advantageous, if this Praktikum is performed by a group of students (2-4).
