Agile Logistics

Project Description

The goal of the AgiLog project is to develop middleware technologies to reduce complexity for Agile Logistics. The development of software for complex and distributed systems where many different participants need to communicate and coordinate in dynamically changing situations is a complicated problem. Participants can e.g. be mobile devices, embedded devices, or enterprise servers. The problem is that there does not exist one single middleware that (1) perfectly covers all requirements and that (2) is easy to understand and use. Therefore, usually many different middlewares need to be used and integrated, causing even more complexity. AGILOG develops one concise and highly usable middleware architecture that is agile enough to deal with new change and extension requests which otherwise would lead to expensive architecture breakers. Funding: FFG Bridge-2 project.
